In Italy, we are the fourth-largest hydroelectric power producer, with an installed capacity of 1.5 GW. In 2025, we produced 3.5 TWh thanks to the 39 plants we operate, most of which hold EMAS registration for environmental performance.

In an evolving energy landscape, we are diversifying renewable sources to increase our generation capacity and strengthen the country’s energy independence. We currently operate 77 MW of wind farms and 18 MW of photovoltaic plants across the country.
We are investing in further projects under development totalling approximately 900 MW, integrating our production chain with reliable and innovative technologies. This commitment reflects our ambition to grow over time, transforming ideas, expertise and resources into concrete projects for a renewable-powered future.
Towards the future: we produce renewable hydrogen
As key players in the energy transition, we are actively contributing to Italy’s decarbonisation goals. In Rovereto, we are building a renewable hydrogen production plant, fully funded by the European Union’s Next Generation EU funds under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
This project transforms a disused industrial site into an innovation hub, preventing the release of 380 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent into the atmosphere each year.
