Trento, 20 April 2026 – A few weeks after the conclusion of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the contribution made to ensuring the continuity of the electricity grid has now become a tangible legacy for the region: more resilient infrastructure, strengthened expertise and a model of regional cooperation.
During the Games, the Dolomiti Energia Group made a concrete contribution to the security and resilience of the electricity system in Val di Fiemme, which hosted the Games. This work was made possible by close, day-to-day collaboration with the region, sharing expertise, information and responsibilities.
The commitment began in 2021 and was carried out in close cooperation with institutions and the region. It required investment, advanced technical expertise, constant monitoring of the networks, qualified personnel in the field and a strong ability to manage critical infrastructure in highly complex operating environments.
With the Games now concluded, this work leaves a lasting legacy: a more robust electricity grid, greater capacity to respond to critical events and a wealth of shared relationships and processes that strengthen Trentino’s energy system over the long term.
“This commitment has also received international recognition,” said Claudio Dalrì, Director of Networks at the Group. “The Olympic Committee recently sent us an official communication expressing its appreciation for our contribution to the success of the Games, highlighting the quality of the infrastructure, the reliability of the service and our operational support capabilities. This recognition makes us deeply proud and confirms the strength of the work carried out and the value of the expertise that the Group made available to an event of global significance.”
