Dolomiti Energia: No job losses, no offshoring

09 dicembre 2025

The Dolomiti Energia Group wishes to clarify some inaccurate accounts regarding the renewal of the call centre service.

The facts

    • Since 2014, the Group has supplemented its in-house service, currently employing 84 people, with an external call centre selected through a national public tender, as required by the regulations governing the Group’s activities.

    • In 2019, following the expiry of the previous contracts, the new tender was divided into two lots: one awarded to a national operator and the other to a Trentino-based operator, which employs staff in both Trento and Milan.

    • In 2025, upon contract expiry, the call centre service must once again be awarded through a public tender.

The new tender and safeguards in place

    • No offshoring or job losses: the Group has included a social clause requiring the operator to guarantee continuity of contract and workplace for all employees involved, both in Trentino and Milan.

    • For employees of the operator taking over from the previous national operator, the Telecommunications contract will apply: this is the most widely used contract in the sector and is also employed for public administration tenders.

    • The social clause is not bypassed, nor is the contract changed for employees: for employees of the operator taking over from the previous local operator, the workplace in Trento is guaranteed, and the Metalworking contract will apply.

    • The goal is to improve service quality, not to save costs: in the tender evaluation, the technical offer accounts for 75%, compared to 25% for price.

Services closer to the local area

Services linked to the provincial territory (waste, water, and others) will be carried out by staff based in Trentino, leveraging local knowledge, which can be an advantage in delivering high-quality service to customers while maintaining employment in the province.

Dialogue with the trade unions

To reaffirm that protecting workers is a priority, Dolomiti Energia has further proposed to the trade unions a memorandum of understanding to guarantee all jobs. However, the trade unions did not take this into consideration and responded by declaring a state of industrial action.

The Group reiterates its willingness to engage in dialogue but will not tolerate further defamation and will protect its reputation and integrity through appropriate channels.
