Trento, 20 November 2025 – In response to the recent press release issued by the FIOM CGIL trade union, Dolomiti Energia would like to clarify certain points.
It is essential to clarify that there is no change regarding the alleged job losses or any offshoring:
- All employees currently working in the outgoing call centres will be retained by the new contractors, thanks to the job protection clauses included in the tender specifications.
- The number of workers currently employed in Trentino will not decrease: their jobs will continue to be guaranteed at the Trento office, even if over time they may be assigned to similar roles in line with market developments and the company’s needs.
Dolomiti Energia is fully committed to protecting job continuity.
- Current GPI employees will continue to be covered by the metalworking industry collective agreement, even with the new contractor.
No use is made of so-called “pirate contracts”: our tenders in fact provide for the application of both the national Metalworking collective agreement and the Telecommunications collective agreement, which is used by most operators in the sector and is also adopted in CONSIP tenders for Public Administration services.
Contrary to what has been claimed, our company has always acted in full compliance with current regulations. The people who contribute every day to the quality of our customer service are at the heart of our company.
The decision to launch tenders for part of the call centre operations is a legitimate, natural, and transparent business management process. The choice to maintain two separate contracts for the two call centres was driven by the need to ensure an efficient and specialised service, in line with market and customer needs. The existing differences stem from specific operational needs that are already in place.
Regarding the observations on the possibility of the same company winning both contracts, we reiterate that the selection of contractors takes place through a rigorous tender process, in compliance with current regulations.
It is regrettable to see our Group, which today employs 1,700 people and has consistently upheld its commitment to Trentino – as demonstrated by the over 200 new hires made even in the past year – now being accused in a purely spurious manner, based on subjective interpretations.
