Trento, 16 October 2026 – Dolomiti Energia has signed an agreement to acquire from A2A and Unareti a total 91.6% stake in Retragas, a company operating in the natural gas transmission sector in western Trentino.
Founded in 2003, Retragas manages a transmission network spanning approximately 395 kilometres across the provinces of Brescia and Trento, playing a strategic role in connecting the national gas system with local distribution networks.
Completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions precedent customary for transactions of this nature, including Golden Power clearance. Closing is expected by the end of 2026. The company’s Enterprise Value is approximately €64.4 million.
The transaction represents a further step in the growth path outlined in Dolomiti Energia’s 2030 Strategic Plan and strengthens the Group’s control over infrastructure that is essential to Trentino, contributing to energy security, service quality and the development of local communities.
The acquisition will also create synergies with the investment programmes already planned by the Group, particularly for the extension and enhancement of networks in western Trentino.
“With this acquisition, we are strengthening our commitment to Trentino and its growth,” said Stefano Granella, CEO of Dolomiti Energia. “Energy infrastructure is a strategic asset for the competitiveness of local areas and people’s quality of life. Retragas joining the Group enables us to consolidate an important asset for the province’s energy system, enhancing local industrial expertise and supporting the investments needed to foster the area’s future development. This transaction demonstrates the Group’s commitment to developing investments that create tangible value for the local area, its communities and Trentino’s economy.”
